Building Destroyed, Plans to Rebuild Stronger
Thanks to the men and women of the Albertville Fire Department. This is a devastating loss for LifePoint Church (discoverlifepoint.com) The hard work and bravery of the fire department kept the flames back from the main sanctuary.
At 9AM the Alabama State Fire Marshalls Office was on scene accessing the damage to the structure and trying to determine the cause of the blaze.
Chief Brad Hix with the Albertville Fire Department stated, "All his firefighters are safe."
Quinton Williams, lead pastor at LP Church, stated in a video post, “It’s God’s. He gave us that building and allowed us to have 13 years. He will give us something next.” He was very thankful for the love and support of the citizens and city of Albertville.
LP is known for serving the community. They help with hosting the neighbors at Room in the Inn. They pack backpacks at Albertville Elementary. Also, they have a Celebrate Recovery program to assist those “trapped by addictions and other hurts, habits, and hang-ups from their past.“
The fire started around 8:15PM last night, February 7th, 2019. The firefighters worked on extinguishing the fire well past midnight. They continue to monitor the structure for any reignition.
